Questions & Answers

How large are your classes?

Our average class size is between 10 and 15 students and will not exceed 20 students. Our low student-teacher ratio is parent’s dream!

How is the school organized?

We are a tax-exempt non-profit corporation operating under the authority of a 5 member Board of Directors. The board is appointed from within to ensure the continuation of our vision.

What enrichment programs do you offer?

Classical Christian education is the original liberal arts education. We offer programs in music, art, drama, etc. The difference is that everything in a classical school is purposeful. When 1st graders study art, they study great artists like Monet and Matisse. When we perform music, we emphasize the great works of classical music (and sometimes other genres).

Are you accredited?

The Geneva School (K-8th Grade) is pursuing accreditation by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Do you have after school programs?

We do not currently offer after school day-care; however, we offer a variety of after school classes, Monday through Thursday, that rotate each trimester.  You can view our current classes under the Extended Care tab.

Why the uniforms?

They are part of an overall system of education that encourages respect, order, unity, diligence, and joy.

How much homework should we expect?

The homework load varies, but our general rule is 10 minutes per grade level (for example, 4th grade = 40 minutes per night). We assign homework to teach diligence, independent learning, and to memorize or practice concepts that are taught in school. We do not assign complex new concepts or busy work as homework.
